MY FIRST (and likely last) ELECTRONICS DIY PROJECT
(CherrysPicks, with a little help from Milan; 27 May 2010)
The Rossellini UARSS preamplifier fired up for the very first time. It is hooked up to the Dufresne 300B amplifier and Tannoy HPD385 speakers. The preamplifier is loosely based on the Blue Velvet preamplifier design by Dick Olsher and Kara Chaffee. The auditioning material in the clip is Keith Jarrett's "The Köln Concert" CD (ECM). All went exceedingly well, no fire extinguishers were needed. Not bad for a girl, even if I say so myself. :) (recorded with iPhone, indoor, night time, raw recording-no enhancements) |
Our Siemox amplifier with Siemens F2a tubes and Rossellini UARSS preamplifier in action. The auditioning material in the clip is again Keith Jarrett's "The Köln Concert". The speakers are our usual Tannoy HPD385's. So far so good. I hope the preamp will be a keeper. Or I'll have to make it a keeper. 3:-) (recorded with iPhone, as above) |
